Healing Quickly Is Your Best Medicine

It is estimated that chronic wounds affect 6.7 million people in the United States and the incidence is rising, fueled by an aging population and increasing rates of diseases and conditions such as diabetes and obesity. Untreated, chronic wounds can lead to diminished quality of life and possibly amputation.

The Christian Hospital Wound Care & Hyperbarics Center offers advanced therapies to patients suffering from chronic wounds. Most notably in 2017, Christian Hospital’s center achieved an average patient satisfaction rate of 90 percent, with 98 percent of patient wounds healed within 30 days or less.

Successful healing of wounds that have not healed within four weeks requires comprehensive and aggressive care. Our center combines the latest clinical tools with traditional practices to provide individualized treatment including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, if needed.

The center’s physician driven, multidisciplinary approach to outpatient wound care is nationally recognized for success in facilitating the healing process. Most notably, the center has received attention for achieving an average patient satisfaction rate of 96 percent, with 93 percent of patient wounds healed within 36 days or less.

“We see patients living with non-healing wounds for a prolonged amount of time due to the lack of awareness of advanced wound care options,” said Adnan Siddiqui, MD, Medical Director of the Christian Hospital Wound Care & Hyperbarics Center. “We work to educate community physicians about which of their patients can benefit from advanced wound care, and then provide coordinated care to heal that patient’s wounds.”

People with wounds that have not improved with traditional methods of treatment may benefit from a visit to the Christian Hospital Wound Care & Hyperbarics Center. To schedule an appointment, please 314.653.4076.
