About the Residency Program
Christian Hospital offers an extraordinary opportunity in pharmacy practice to help serve our unique patient populations.
The pharmacy department provides nutritional support, pharmacokinetics, and antibiotic dosing services as well as involvement in multi-disciplinary rounds on select units and in multiple performance improvement committees.
The pharmacy department uses a state-of-the-art medical informatics system in cooperation with Washington University School of Medicine to notify pharmacists regarding medication management. Automation is used for medication management, distribution, bar-coding and computerized physician order entry.
The department has 21 pharmacists, 21 technicians, and one pharmacy student including an oncology/infusion center satellite. The goal of the program is to prepare a clinical pharmacist for a generalist clinical pharmacist position in a community hospital.
