Comprehensive Medical Rehabilitation Unit
|
Comprehensive Medical Rehab (CMR) is an 18-bed nursing unit designed with a team approach to nursing, combining registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and personal care associates as primary caregivers. CMR cares for adult patients with newly diagnosed neurological or musculoskeletal diseases.
Typically, patients with CVAs, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries and neurological disorders are rehabilitated on this division. Formal rounds occur weekly. Individuals from all disciplines meet to discuss the patient and set short- and long-term goals.
