Brian Hokamp started his EMS career in St. Louis, Missouri, where he obtained his EMT license. In 2002, Brian joined the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman and completed two tours of duty in Iraq. While stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he attained his paramedic license. Brian joined Christian Hospital EMS as a paramedic in 2008, working
his way up to Chief of EMS within seven years. In 2011, Brian completed his associate’s
degree in Applied Science (Paramedic Technology). He will complete his bachelor’s degree
in Business Management in October 2016.
Clinical Supervisor, NREMT-P, CCEMT-P, MBA
Sabine Sagner began her EMS career in Fayetteville, North Carolina over twenty years ago as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. She worked for a number of years in both Washington and Illinois
before joining Christian Hospital EMS as a clinical supervisor in 2014. Sabine holds instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, AMLS, DT4EMS, PEPL and EPC. She is a nationally registered Critical Care Paramedic. Sabine also has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and
a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Primary Instructor Clinical Coordination
Joshua Malson started his EMS career in 2005. He attended EMT school at St. Louis Community College and obtained his EMT license in 2006. Josh began working at Abbott EMS in 2007.
In 2008, he became a primary instructor for EMT at IHM Health Studies. The following year,
Josh obtained his paramedic license. He continued to teach at Abbott as part of the new hire orientation and driver training, and was promoted to crew leader. In 2011, Josh obtained a position at Cape County Private Ambulance as a supervisor and training officer. After three years, he joined Christian Hospital EMS, where is now an EMS educator.
