Need to add some movement to your day? Try this: Get up at every commercial break and do something until commercials are over:
- Do some abdominal crunches
- Walk upstairs and back down a few times
Any activity is better than no activity -- just do something
. Get the whole family involved. Let each family member choose a different activity at each break. It will be fun and won’t seem like exercise.
Next, hide the remote control or keep it next to the TV. You heard me -- get up, walk over and switch the channel or change the volume using the buttons on the TV just like in the olden days. Every extra step helps.
