Accurate Results are Your Best Medicine
At Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare, we offer an array of laboratory services to meet your individual needs. Through the Network Reference Laboratory at Christian Hospital, board-certified pathologists and technologists provide the most dependable diagnostic information available.
Our lab offers the expertise of anatomic and clinical pathology paired with access to the most modern technology and methods available. Our full-service laboratory has proven its excellence in diagnostic testing and exceptional turnaround times — and is accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks, the College of American Pathologists and the Joint Commission.
By providing these services, Christian Hospital is able to offer its patients comprehensive testing services, ranging from routine to specialized tests. Many of the more specialized tests are critical to the identification of numerous diseases. The lab has been recognized as Gold Standard for its women’s health testing. Ensuring the accuracy of test results allows patients to receive quicker, more precise treatment. For this reason, all results are processed locally.
Some of the testing provided by the Network Reference Lab at Christian Hospital includes:
- Routine labs
- Infectious diseases
Our laboratory services are available at multiple locations on the Christian Hospital campus. Testing is also provided at the laboratory at Northwest HealthCare. Physician’s orders are required for all testing.
For routine physical lab work, it is recommended that the patient be fasting for 10-12 hours, water only. Most routine test results will post on myBJC, the BJC online patient portal, within 24 hours.

*Allergy tests are conducted in our lab, and sent to an outside processing center.
