5K Walk/Run ‘Eliminate the Stigma’ for Mental Health on May 31

Christian Hospital Recovery Center is hosting the first-ever 5K Walk/Run “Eliminate the Stigma” for Mental Health on May 31, 2020, at 9 a.m. on the Paul F. Detrick Building parking lot at Christian Hospital, 11133 Dunn Rd., St. Louis, MO 63136. Early bird registration is $30 through February. To register, visit https://register.chronotrack.com/r/55990. All proceeds go toward the Christian Hospital Foundation’s Mental Health Scholarship Fund to provide services to those most in need.

Health vendors will be onsite providing information on their services. Chances to win raffle baskets can be purchased at the event for $1 for one chance or $5 for six chances.

The purpose of this event is to promote community awareness about mental health and substance abuse and the services offered in North County. “Eliminate the Stigma” theme reminds us that simple daily acts of creating space and promoting mental, by helping a friend seek mental health/behavioral treatment or supporting a family member in need.
