U.S. News & World Report Ranks Christian Hospital #5 in St. Louis Region and #9 in Missouri; High Performing Hospital in 1 Adult Specialty & 7 Procedures and Conditions
U.S. News & World Report for 2023-24 has again ranked Christian Hospital No. 5 in St. Louis for overall clinical excellence and advanced our team to No. 9 in Missouri, up from No. 11 last year, which puts us in the top 6% of all hospitals in the state!
The U.S. News adult methodology ranks clinical specialties and rates common care procedures and conditions. Christian was nationally ranked as “high performing” in the clinical specialty of geriatrics and in the following seven of 21 common procedures and conditions: heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, diabetes, COPD, pneumonia and stroke. High performing in a specialty means we were in the top 10% nationally of all evaluated hospitals for that specialty or procedure and condition.
In addition to Christian, both Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center also achieved local, state and national rankings. We are proud to be one of three BJC facilities recognized in Missouri’s top 10 hospitals.
“Christian achieving local, state and national rankings, and high performing honors in eight specialty or procedures and conditions is no small feat,” notes Rick Stevens, Christian Hospital president. “We achieved this collectively, as a team of highly skilled clinicians, nurses, medical professionals and non-medical professionals who all work together to ensure the best results for our patients.”
Thank you for continuing to make Christian one of best hospitals in the region, state and country!
