Breast Adenocarcinoma

Breast adenocarcinoma is cancer that starts in the glandular tissue (cells that make or secrete a substance) of the breast. Nearly all breast cancers start in either the ducts or lobules, making them adenocarcinomas.

The two types of breast adenocarcinomas are ductal carcinomas and lobular carcinomas. Ductal carcinoma is a breast cancer that starts in the ducts of the breast. Lobular carcinoma is a breast cancer that starts in the lobules of the breast.
