Chest Pain can range from a sharp stab to a dull ache. In some cases chest pain has traveled up the neck and pierced the back or goes down the arms.
There are many different types of chest pain however the ones involving the heart and lungs are the most serious.
Symptoms of Heart-related Chest Pain
If you, or someone with you, are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, immediately call 911.
- Pressure, fullness or tightness in your chest
- Crushing or searing pain that radiates to your back, neck, jaw, shoulders and arms, especially the left arm
- Pain that lasts more than a few minutes
- Shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness or nausea
