AHA Recognizes CH for 100 Years of Membership
Liz Summy, FACHE, CAE, left, regional executive from the American Hospital Association (AHA), was at Christian Hospital April 19 to present CH president Rick Stevens, FACHE, with a crystal memento in appreciation and recognition for the hospital’s 100 years of participation and leadership in the AHA. While the AHA was founded in 1898, the first year of admitting institutional members was 1919, making Christian among the first hospitals to join the American Hospital Association.
“The American Hospital Association is proud to recognize Christian Hospital for their 100 years of membership in the AHA and for their continued commitment to their patients and the St. Louis-area community,” says AHA president and CEO Rick Pollack.
“We are very proud of our longstanding partnership with the AHA,” notes CH president Rick Stevens, who serves on the AHA Regional Policy Board. “AHA’s representation and advocacy activities ensure that our perspectives and needs are heard and addressed in national health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates, and judicial matters. We have a voice with the AHA.”
