Center for Senior Renewal
The Center for Senior Renewal helps senior adults cope with their unique emotional problems and physical challenges that can make life difficult, allowing their quality of life to be renewed. The intensive outpatient program offers mental health treatment without the high cost or inconvenience of inpatient hospitalization. The program includes two 50-minute group sections with patient interaction and one 50-minute educational section.
Throughout treatment, patients learn effective ways to handle their mental illness while receiving respect, consideration and the highest quality of care each day.
The Center for Senior Renewal offers:
- Group therapy with other senior adults struggling with similar issues
- Individual counseling
- Family therapy
- Regular communication with family members
- Regular meetings with assigned case managers
- An ongoing plan for care and support
Assessment and Treatment
Treatment begins with a confidential assessment by a mental health professional to determine the level of care appropriate for each patient. All assessments are by appointment and are conducted at the Center for Senior Renewal.
The treatment plan is determined by a physician and the mental health team and is tailored to the individual needs of the patient. Throughout treatment, the patient is supervised by a physician who meets one-on-one with the patient and their family members on a regular basis. Medications may be prescribed to treat specific symptoms.
In addition to mental health care, patients receive a nutritious meal each day. For those without transportation, assistance can be coordinated by the Center for Senior Renewal.
