The Christian Hospital Foundation proudly supports the hospital’s mission “To help people enjoy life by improving their health” by raising and allocating funds for:
  • Patient care
  • Staff education
  • Hospital facilities
  • Community benefit programming
We fund many of the free health screenings and education events attended by approximately 10,000 people each year. For example, the Diabetes Mobile Unit (one of only two in the nation) is supported by the Foundation. The Mobile Unit brings diabetes screenings and education to 5,000 of our neighbors throughout St. Louis and in Illinois each year.

The Christian Hospital Foundation has been active since 2008, and has raised more than $250,000 from hospital friends, local businesses and other foundations. In 2010, $156,050 was allocated to programs and services. In 2011, more than $300,000 supported free and low-cost health programs for the community. Each year, more than 10,000 people are served through our community programs. 


Comfort Care Suite (Formerly known as the "Hospice Suite Project") 
Our Comfort Care Suite will provide a calm, quiet place where patients who are seriously ill, undergoing palliative medical treatment or in hospice care can be with their family members. The suite will feature private patient rooms with an adjoining family room and kitchen area, all furnished with friendly, home-like décor. Comfortable lounge chairs and pull-out beds will let family members stay with their loved one for as long as they like -- whenever they like -- with no restrictive visiting hours.
